The private university, located at Oke-Osun, P.M.B. 4491, Osogbo, Osun State, was granted an operational licence by the Federal Government in 2007 and commenced academic activities in January 2008. The institution continues to focus on academic development, character formation and service to humanity within its values-based educational environment.

Academic Cadre Requirements

Professor – FUASS 7
Candidates are expected to have:
- A PhD.
- At least nine years of post-PhD experience.
- A minimum of 25 scholarly publications.
- At least two years of service as a Reader.
Reader – FUASS 6
Candidates are expected to have:
- A PhD.
- At least seven years of post-PhD experience.
- A minimum of 20 publications.
- At least two years of service as a Senior Lecturer.
Senior Lecturer – FUASS 5
Candidates are expected to have:
- A PhD.
- At least five years of post-PhD experience.
- A minimum of 14 publications.
- At least two years of service as a Lecturer I.
Lecturer I – FUASS 4
Candidates are expected to have:
- A PhD.
- At least three years of teaching or research experience.
- A minimum of seven publications.
- At least two years of service as a Lecturer II.
Lecturer II – FUASS 3

- A PhD, or a Master’s degree with at least two years of teaching or research experience.
- A minimum of four publications.
- Two years of service as an Assistant Lecturer where applicable.
