Job Description
The successful candidate will support the Technical Director in the execution, planning and coordination of construction projects.
Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Assistant Director will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Technical Director in planning, coordinating and executing construction projects.
- Monitoring project implementation schedules and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, surveyors, contractors and other site team members.
- Conducting routine site supervision to ensure quality workmanship, proper use of materials and satisfactory project progress.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues and providing appropriate solutions to project challenges.
- Reviewing drawings and specifications and interpreting method statements, work programmes and technical requirements.
- Ensuring construction activities comply with approved designs, specifications and applicable standards.
- Monitoring important project milestones and completion timelines.
- Coordinating technical interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, architectural and specialist works.
- Reviewing project progress reports and providing technical updates to the Technical Director.
- Supporting the resolution of technical and construction-related issues.
- Ensuring proper filing and documentation of technical decisions, site instructions, conclusions and project changes.
- Liaising with consultants, contractors and other key project stakeholders.
- Supporting the evaluation of contractors and their technical performance.
- Assisting with the timely assessment and delivery of construction projects.
- Supporting project handover, testing, commissioning and other project closeout activities.

- Must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements
Applicants should have:
- HND, Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Adequate professional experience in construction or technical project work.
- Relevant technical and project coordination experience.
- The ability to work effectively with engineers, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
Candidates with strong experience in construction project supervision and technical coordination may be particularly suited to the position.
